Job Description
Be part of our dedicated Environmental Services team at Beleura Private Hospital, helping maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors and staff.
As an Environmental Services Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare services by maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the hospital. Working as part of a supportive team, you will ensure patient rooms, wards, bathrooms and common areas are maintained to a high standard while following hospital procedures and infection control requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Clean and maintain patient rooms, wards, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas to a high standard.

Perform vacuuming, mopping, dusting and general housekeeping duties throughout the hospital.

Remove rubbish and waste safely and efficiently in accordance with hospital procedures.

Operate cleaning machinery and equipment, with training provided where required.

Follow Infection Prevention and Control, Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental Services procedures at all times.

Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily cleaning objectives.

Communicate respectfully and professionally with patients, visitors and hospital staff.

Identify and report maintenance issues, hazards or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

Demonstrate professionalism, honesty and integrity while consistently delivering high-quality cleaning services.
About You
You are a reliable, friendly and conscientious individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service. You have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
You understand the importance of maintaining a clean and safe healthcare environment and are committed to following infection control, safety and hospital procedures. You communicate respectfully with patients, visitors and colleagues and approach your work with professionalism and care.
You Will Also Bring

Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning or environmental services is desirable.

Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is highly regarded.

Basic understanding of Infection Prevention and Control principles.
