As a School Assistant for our Primary School, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and well-organized environment for our youngest students. Working closely with teaching staff and school leadership, you will be the glue that holds the school day together—managing daily logistics, supervising key moments like recess and lunchtime, and keeping parents connected. Student Supervision & Safety

Daily Welcomes & Farewells: Manage vital gate duties during morning arrivals and afternoon dismissals, ensuring a warm and secure transition for students.
•
Active Supervision: Keep a watchful, caring eye on students during playground recess and canteen times, helping them navigate social interactions safely.
•
Student Wellbeing: Ensure safe movement around the school campus, manage late arrivals, and actively assist with critical student safety measures, including student allergy management.
Daily Operations & Logistics
•
Flow Management: Coordinate student transitions smoothly between classes, recess, specialized activities (APC), and canteen services.
•
Environment Prep: Assist in preparing the canteen and self-service areas to ensure a clean, welcoming lunch experience.
•
Adaptability: Confidently manage student groups during bad weather schedule changes and respond swiftly and calmly to daily incidents or emergencies.
Administration & Communication
•
Attendance Tracking: Keep accurate, real-time records of student attendance, lateness, and absences utilizing our school software (Pronote).
•
Community Connection: Act as a key link between the school and families by following up on student absences and managing routine parent communications.
•
Team Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with primary teachers, support teams, and school leadership to maintain consistency and open lines of communication.
