About the Role: We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and proactive Casual Handyman to join our team. This role is perfect for someone looking for a flexible work schedule of up to 25 hours per week. You will be responsible for general repairs, building maintenance, and ensuring our property/properties remain safe, functional, and well-presented.
Key Responsibilities
- General Repairs: Fix broken fixtures, doors, locks, and basic carpentry tasks.
- Basic Trade Work: Perform minor plumbing adjustments and simple electrical tasks (non-licensed work).
- Property Upkeep: Touch-up painting, plaster patching, and pressure cleaning.
- Grounds Maintenance: Minor outdoor tidying, rubbish removal, and safety checks.
- Troubleshooting: Identify maintenance issues proactively and report major faults. [1]
Requirements & Skills
- Proven experience in a handyman, property maintenance, or trades role.
- Proficiency with a wide range of hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a sharp eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and a polite, professional manner.
- A valid driver's license (own vehicle and tools highly desirable).
- Physical fitness to manage lifting, bending, and active tasks. [1]
