Where you'll be working
The Northern Beaches Community Mental Health Service (NBCMHS) provides a comprehensive range of community mental health services for adult and older people in the Northern Beaches local government area. NBCMHS includes community mental health care for adult and older people, acute care, care coordination, assertive outreach service and consultation liaison service for Mona Vale Hospital and the Manly Adolescent and Youth Adult Hospice (AYAH).
Purpose of the Position
The position of Staff Specialist Northern Beaches Community Mental Health Services, works within a multi-disciplinary team using a recovery orientated approach to support the timely clinical assessment, review, management, treatment and discharge planning to support the delivery of a high quality, safe, and evidence based mental health services for adult and older people residing in the Northern Beaches local government area.
You will provide clinical management and treatment of patients under your care in a Northern Sydney Local Health District facility or service. This care will be provided within the scope of clinical practice endorsed by the NSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.
The position will provide clinical consultation services within NSLHD and will contribute to the teaching and training of medical students, graduates and other health care professionals and to research, evaluation and quality improvement activities within NSLHD.
