We’re 4WD Supacentre — the home of Adventure Kings and one of Australia’s leading retailers of 4WD, camping, touring and outdoor adventure gear.
As our business continues to grow, so does the volume and complexity of products moving through our returns operation. We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Returns Operations Team Leader who can lead the team, keep operations moving and ensure returned electrical products are assessed, tested and processed safely and efficiently.
This is a hands-on leadership role within our Returns Department, working across operational leadership, electrical product assessment, repairs, recovery and compliance.
You’ll coordinate the day-to-day workload of Returns Officers and Electrical Fitters, ensuring the team delivers against productivity targets while maintaining strong standards across safety, quality, documentation and product recovery.
You’ll also play an important role in determining whether returned products can be repaired, recovered, further assessed, returned to suppliers, written off or safely disposed of.
- Lead and coordinate the daily operations and workload of the Returns Department.
- Allocate work based on priorities, product risk and technical requirements.
- Coach, support and develop Returns Officers and Electrical Fitters.
- Monitor productivity, workloads and departmental KPIs.
- Coordinate safe electrical assessment and testing of returned products.
- Oversee testing of 12V, 24V and 240V products, including fridges, batteries, chargers, inverters, lighting and other electrical equipment.
- Coordinate Test & Tag activities and ensure testing results are accurately recorded.
- Oversee electrical repairs completed by appropriately qualified or authorised team members.
- Ensure repaired products undergo the required functional and safety testing before release.
- Identify recurring electrical faults and escalate product quality or safety trends.
- Manage returns backlogs and reallocate resources to maintain service levels.
- Support repair and recovery opportunities to reduce unnecessary product write-offs.
- Maintain accurate Salesforce records, product information and inventory movements.
- Promote strong WHS, electrical safety, housekeeping and PPE standards.
You’ll be an organised, hands-on leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced operational and technical environment.
You’ll bring:
- Previous experience leading or coordinating a warehouse, returns, operational or technical team.
- Experience working with electrical products, electrical testing, repairs or technical product assessment.
- Understanding of electrical safety principles and safe work practices.
- Experience with 12V and/or 240V electrical products.
- Experience with fridges, batteries, chargers, inverters or similar products will be highly regarded.
- Test & Tag or electrical safety testing experience is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and operational workloads.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
- Experience with Salesforce or warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Strong WHS awareness, communication and problem-solving skills.
You’ll help build a returns operation that is safe, efficient and commercially focused. Success will include maintaining strong processing and documentation standards, managing backlogs, improving repair and recovery rates and ensuring electrical products are appropriately tested before being released. The role also carries a target of processing a minimum of 50 refrigerators per week.
You’ll join a fast-growing Australian business where you can take ownership of your operation, develop your team and directly influence safety, productivity, product recovery and quality outcomes.
If you’re a practical leader with strong electrical product knowledge who enjoys solving problems and improving operations, we’d love to hear from you.
