Your Typical Day
In this dynamic role, you will be a key player in maintaining our roads, bridges, footpaths, and drainage systems. Your responsibilities will include:
Confidently handling Water Carts, Rollers, Tractors, and MR/HR Trucks.
Performing daily minor servicing and pre-start safety checks to keep our fleet in top shape.
Delivering plant and materials safely to job sites.
Managing traffic control duties with professional signage and barriers to keep the public and your team safe.
Keeping accurate timesheets and reporting any asset faults to your Team Leader promptly.
What You Bring to the Team (Selection Criteria to be addressed as part of your application)
We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who takes initiative. To be successful, you will need:
A current and valid Heavy Combination (HC) Licence.
Demonstrated experience in road maintenance or construction.
A Construction Induction (White Card).
NSW Traffic Management Certificates (or the ability to get them within 3 months of starting).
A strong understanding of safety practices in high-risk environments.

The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Council’s policies and conditions of employment. The salary commences at $1,212.10 per week with progression up to $1,337.90 per week dependent upon skills and experience.
