We are seeking an experienced Commercial Specialist to assist in supporting the Commercial Manager

About the Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role plays a key part in supporting MGM’s commercial governance, tender coordination, contract management and financial modelling capability.
You will work closely with operational, finance and leadership teams to analyse contracts, coordinate tender responses, assess commercial risks and build structured financial models that support informed decision-making. You will be the SME for commercial contract related questions and liaise directly with client contract contracts on varying matters.
This is a specialist role with no direct reports.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for the RFQ and RFT response processes, including commercial inputs, contract lifecycle modelling and developing pricing response schedules
- Analyse current and proposed contracts to identify commercial, financial and operational risk to current and tendered models
- Liaise with external legal advisors where required on varying company scenarios
- Provide structured commercial guidance to internal stakeholders on growth initiatives and high-risk transactions
- Build and maintain MGM’s commercial modelling suite using real-time operational and financial data
- Develop pricing structures and scenario modelling to support new and prospective work
- Assist in periodic contract claim analysis and submissions
- Monitor contract KPIs and support dispute resolution processes
- Maintain accurate contract registers and governance documentation
Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in contract management, commercial analysis or legal disciplines
- Demonstrated contractual, commercial and financial experience
- Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience within heavy industry, mining services, transport or logistics preferred
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement capability
- Strong attention to detail and governance discipline
- Ability to interpret complex contract terms and translate them into practical guidance
