Join our team as the Service Manager - People Development
Lead our People Development Team to shape a high-performing, future-ready workforce. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee the delivery of expert and value-adding people development services across organisational development, learning and capability, and early careers pathways. Working in alignment with the People Strategy and Corporate Plan, you will support leaders and employees across the organisation to build capability, drive performance and enhance employee experience.
You will champion the design and implementation of a contemporary learning and development framework, strengthen leadership effectiveness, cultivate future talent pipelines and ensure a strong culture of compliance and continuous learning.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and inspiring a high-performing People Development team, fostering collaboration, capability growth, continuous improvement and a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
- Driving the design and delivery of contemporary people development initiatives across organisational development, learning and capability, and early careers programs to support strategic workforce outcomes.
- Building leadership and workforce capability through learning frameworks, leadership development, coaching, mentoring, compliance programs, and future-focused learning solutions, including digital and AI capability.
- Developing and strengthening talent pipelines through innovative early careers pathways, including graduate, trainee and work experience programs that attract and develop future talent.
- Partnering with leaders and stakeholders across the organisation to identify workforce trends, address capability gaps and deliver integrated people solutions aligned with organisational priorities.
- Using data, insights and feedback to inform decision-making, measure impact and continuously improve programs, services and employee outcomes.
- Providing strategic advice and coaching to leaders to enhance workforce performance, employee engagement, productivity and organisational culture.
- Contributing to the People and Culture leadership team, supporting strategic planning, budget management and the achievement of organisational objectives.
Skills and experience:
- Proven leadership experience developing and leading high-performing teams in a collaborative environment, delivering strategic people solutions that enhance organisational capability and performance.
- Demonstrated expertise in organisational capability and workforce development, including organisational learning, organisational development, leadership development, early careers pathways, diversity, equity and inclusion, coaching, reward and recognition, and building future talent pipelines within a medium to large organisation.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, provide expert advice, and achieve outcomes across all levels of the organisation.
- Strong capability in leading organisation-wide people initiatives and programs, using data and insights to measure success, drive continuous improvement, and deliver sustainable business outcomes.
- Strategic acumen, with experience managing budgets, planning, reporting and performance measures to demonstrate value and support organisational priorities.
