Summary
Our client MNI Electrospark All Trades Services Pty Limited is a trusted Greenacre-based provider of building, renovation and trade services. Due to ongoing growth in residential and commercial construction projects, the business is seeking to appoint a qualified Carpenter to undertake structural and finishing carpentry work, including framing, formwork, fit-outs, installations and building construction activities.
The role requires a skilled tradesperson committed to high-quality workmanship, workplace safety and professional service delivery.
The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Construct and install timber structures for residential and commercial building projects.
- Read and interpret building plans, drawings, specifications and site instructions.
- Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber, plywood and lightweight steel materials.
- Install doors, frames, flooring, fixtures, fittings and related carpentry components.
- Erect wall frames, roof framing, sub-flooring and other structural elements.
- Prepare layouts and select suitable materials for each carpentry task.
- Carry out framing, formwork and general carpentry work as required.
- Use and maintain hand tools, power tools and carpentry equipment safely.
- Verify the accuracy, alignment and trueness of completed structures.
- Construct, renovate and repair timber structures, fittings, fixtures and framework components in accordance with project specifications.
- Assist with site preparation, material handling and daily clean-up duties.
- Work collaboratively with tradespeople, supervisors and other site personnel.
- Follow workplace health, safety, compliance and regulatory procedures at all times.
- Assemble and install prepared timber, plywood and lightweight steel components to construct frameworks, partitions and other structural building elements.
- Support high-quality workmanship and reliable service across client building projects.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:
- Certificate III in Carpentry, including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV in Carpentry.
- Minimum 12 months relevant experience as a Carpenter or in a closely related carpentry role involving construction, renovation, framing, formwork or building fit-out work.
- Demonstrated ability to read building plans, specifications and site instructions accurately and independently.
- Hands-on experience in timber construction, framing, formwork, flooring, doors, frames and fixtures.
- Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures across residential and commercial construction sites.
- Competence using, maintaining and safely operating standard carpentry hand tools and power tools.
- Strong measuring, cutting, assembling and installation skills with close attention to workmanship quality.
- Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople and clients in a fast-paced site environment.
- With Reliable, self-motivated approach with the ability to work across a variety of residential and commercial construction, renovation and fit-out projects.
