Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fifth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing, transport and health care. The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as 'The Food Bowl of Australia' as around 25% of the total value of Victoria's agricultural production is generated in this area.
Greater Shepparton has a population of approximately 69,000 and is culturally rich with 17.4% of residents being born overseas. The area has excellent education, recreation, cultural, social and health facilities and tourism is a developing focus for the region.
Learning and Development Officer
Salary: $73,089.64 per annum

We are seeking enthusiastic applicants for the position of Learning and Development Officer. This role works within the Learning and Development team to assist Council in its vision to become a ‘Learning Organisation’.
We are seeking a proactive and passionate person who will ensure the delivery of Council’s Training and Development program through executing high quality administrative tasks in a fast paced, customer focused environment.
You will undertake general administration duties including monitoring training requests, organising mandatory trainings, administering purchase orders and invoices and setting up and packing up training sessions and entering training certificates and licences into the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
Applications are encouraged from individuals who possess a passion for learning and empowering others, an ability to face challenges with initiative and cope with the pressure of tight deadlines and the ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic team.
Relevant experience in administration, customer service and experience working with a HRIS, online Learning Management Systems and Microsoft Office programs will be highly regarded.
