Your Opportunity
As the Senior Educational Quality Officer you will:
Plan and implement educational quality activities to enhance the quality of teaching, learning and assessment practices provided by TAFE Queensland Educators, including the provision of training to build Educator capability.
Facilitate quality assurance activities across TAFE Queensland, including conducting internal audits of Educator staff profiles, validation of assessment and other related quality assurance checks to ensure TAFE Queensland meets contractual, legislative and regulatory requirements associated with the delivery of Vocational Education and Training (VET) as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
Operate across all regions in TAFE Queensland supporting Educator competency and currency and other continuous improvement activities.
Support the implementation and management of academic quality systems, processes and practices and drive continuous improvement actions to support TAFE Queensland's self-assurance approach.
This position reports to the Manager TAFE Queensland Quality and Compliance.
This is a Permanent, Full-Time opportunity.
The position will be based at a TAFE Queensland campus and can be negotiated.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate quality and compliance activities in relation to Educator Competency and Currency (ECC) to ensure compliance with the Standards for RTOs, including conducting internal audits of staff profiles.
Maintain the TAFE Queensland Continuing Currency Points (CCP) Scheme.
Conduct quality checks of educational staff profiles to determine compliance outcomes for Educators, provide reports on compliance status and work with regional representatives and Educators to achieve compliance.
Provide expert advice and support to Educators to maintain their educational staff profiles in the staff profile system.
Support the registration process by overseeing reviews of staff profiles associated with registration applications for new or transitioning training products including the provision of training and advice to regional quality and registration staff.
Develop and maintain supporting resources, training materials and recordings relating to competency and currency, validation of assessment and other continuous improvement activities.
Implement professional development activities to increase capability of staff to undertake quality and compliance related activities including maintaining competency and currency, validation of assessment and other continuous improvement activities associated with driving quality training and assessment.
Oversee the annual CCP and Compliance Reporting Framework including providing regular reports on the compliance status of all educational staff to relevant committees and networks.
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies, frameworks, initiatives and activities pertaining to educational quality and other continuous improvement requirements activities.
Coordinate the maintenance and enhancements of the staff profile system with internal business units and the vendor and provide technical and practical advice to stakeholders.

How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Standards for RTOs and other relevant legislation, regulations, standards, policies and guidelines related to the provision of quality training and assessment, and compliance with regulatory obligations.
Extensive experience conducting quality assurance activities and the delivery of professional development related to Educator competency and currency in a VET environment.
High level digital skills to plan, develop and effectively implement professional learning activities, face to face and through online platforms, including the development of digital learning resources and other electronic documentation.
Demonstrated ability to engage with and support educational staff to implement quality assurance and quality improvement processes designed to drive quality teaching, learning and assessment practices.
Proven ability to organise and achieve quality work outcomes, meet deadlines and function autonomously within a team environment focusing on systemic processes.
High level communication, consultation and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of key stakeholders in order to achieve objectives.
Highly Desirable Requirements
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a higher qualification in adult education; or
Demonstrated competency through experience.
