We are currently seeking a Support Worker / Cleaner to join our team and provide high-quality in-home care and domestic assistance to our aged-care clients in Regentville and surrounding areas.
About the Role
As a Support Worker / Cleaner, you will provide practical assistance and companionship to our clients while helping maintain a clean, safe and comfortable home environment.
Your duties may include:
- Providing friendly companionship and social support.
- Assisting clients with everyday household tasks.
- General domestic cleaning, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting and cleaning bathrooms and kitchens.
- Laundry and changing bed linen.
- Meal preparation and assistance with simple meals.
- Grocery shopping and basic errands, where required.
- Supporting clients to maintain their independence and dignity.
- Following individual care plans and client preferences.
- Reporting any concerns or changes in a client's wellbeing to the appropriate team member.
- Maintaining client privacy, confidentiality and dignity at all times.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Caring, compassionate and respectful.
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Patient and understanding when working with older people.
- Comfortable providing cleaning and domestic assistance.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- A good communicator with a positive attitude.
- Professional and respectful when working in clients' homes.
- Experienced in aged care, home care, domestic assistance or community care (preferred but not essential).
Essential Requirements
- Australian working rights.
- Current Police Check.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and/or aged-care screening requirements, where applicable to the role.
- First Aid and CPR certificate (preferred).
- Driver's licence and reliable vehicle (preferred).
