Warehouse Assistant – Flooring Industry
Location: Slacks Creek
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Pay: $26–$32 per hour depending on experience
We are looking for a reliable, motivated and hardworking Warehouse Assistant to join our flooring business.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys staying busy, is willing to get stuck in and can work independently as well as part of a team.
About the Role
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Preparing and organising flooring orders for our installers
- Picking and loading materials for jobs
- Restocking and organising warehouse materials
- Cutting and preparing carpet
- Picking up and delivering flooring materials
- Loading and unloading materials
- Removing existing flooring when required
- Assisting with preparing areas for new flooring installations
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and well stocked
- Occasionally carrying out on-site measurements
- Light computer and stock-control duties
- General assistance around the flooring shop and warehouse
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have a current driver's licence – this is essential
- Be reliable and punctual
- Be physically fit and comfortable handling flooring materials
- Have a strong work ethic and a motivated, can-do attitude
- Be willing to get your hands dirty and do whatever is needed to get the job done
- Be able to follow instructions and work efficiently
- Take pride in your work and keep things organised
- Be comfortable dealing with installers, customers and suppliers
- Have basic computer skills
- Be willing to learn and take on new responsibilities
Previous warehouse, flooring or trade experience is an advantage but is not essential. We are happy to train the right person who has the right attitude and work ethic.
