Community Recovery is the lead agency for the provision of human and social recovery support to Queenslanders impacted by disasters including the provision of personal financial support, emotional support and recovery activities.
The Long-Term Recovery and Resilience team (LTRR) establishes and manages long-term recovery and resilience programs to support communities affected by disaster events.
In the Manager Service Delivery and Engagement role, you will play a pivotal role in leading procurement and contract management processes under the Commonwealth Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) including oversight of DRFA eligibility assessments and financial compliance by funded suppliers. By providing strategic advice and operational oversight, you will support effective decision-making and ensure the successful implementation of long-term recovery and resilience programs and initiatives. You will navigate complex environments, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes. You will act as a key interface for managing and negotiating sensitive and complex matters with stakeholders, ensuring robust risk management and adherence to Queensland Government frameworks.
While there are no mandatory requirements for this position, the ideal candidate will have knowledge of end-to-end procurement and contract management processes in the human and social service sector (preferably in the public sector). Your exceptional relationship management and negotiation skills will enable you to foster strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. You will have a strong financial acumen and be a collaborative leader who is committed to fostering a positive team culture and ensuring equitable workload distribution. As a strategic thinker, you will bring a proactive approach to problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and departmental policies and procedures while driving continuous improvement.
This role is offered as a job share opportunity on a part time temporary basis (5 days per fortnight) until 30 June 2028, with possibility of extension. The specific working days and hours will be negotiated to ensure coverage and collaboration between job share partners. While this role is currently part time, there is a potential for it to transition to a full-time position based on operational requirements. As such, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility and the capacity to work full time hours if required.
