The Role:
This is a perfect role for someone starting their career in business administration or bookkeeping. You'll support our daily accounts function and help with general office tasks.
Your Daily Tasks:
Accounts
- Creating and sending customer invoices
- Entering and checking vendor invoices
- Posting journal accounts, managing general ledger and trial balance
- Matching daily bank feeds (reconciliations)
- BAS/GST reconciliation prep
- Preparing payroll data
- Managing with the debtor ledger and following up outstanding payments
Reporting
- Helping generate basic monthly Profit & Loss reports using our accounting software, under guidance
Office Admin
- Answering phone calls and responding to general email enquiries
- Filing digital documents
- Helping the team with daily admin tasks
What We Are Looking For:
- Basic understanding of or exposure to cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero/MYOB or any other ERP software)
- Strong attention to detail (getting the numbers right matters!)
- Good understanding of accounting principles, debit & credits, and Australian taxation law & compliance
- Good communication skills and a friendly phone manner
- Reliable, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a small team
- Certificate/Diploma in Business or Accounting (or working towards one)
- Minimum 3 years valid working visa / PR / Citizen
- Logistic experience is an advantage but not mandatory
