JOB TITLE: Machinist

REPORTS TO: Production Manager
Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll be responsible for machining precision components and assisting with the assembly of quality agricultural equipment. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where no two days are the same.
You'll work closely with the Production Manager, Parts & Warehouse Manager, Design team and fellow production staff to ensure products are manufactured to the highest standards.
Machine components to precise specifications and quality standards.
Fit machined components into assemblies.
Operate efficiently within a multi-machine environment.
Assist the engineering team by providing practical feedback on new designs and manufacturing improvements.
Read and follow job sheets and production instructions.
Perform fitting and assembly tasks, including manual handling where required.
Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area.
Participate in company training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Carry out other duties as directed by the Production Manager.
You are a qualified Machinist who enjoys working in a collaborative manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing quality work.
Relevant trade qualification in machining or a related discipline.
Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to operate a variety of machining equipment.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and work from job sheets and technical drawings.
Effective time management and organisational skills.
Ability to manage your workload and work independently.
Flexible approach to working across different production areas.
Understanding of inventory control processes.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to safe work practices.
