Shearwater the Mullumbimby Steiner School is nestled among the green hills of the Byron Shire hinterland, New South Wales. Established in 1993, Shearwater has grown to a K-12 school, with an enrollment of 600. Our beautiful 52-hectare site sits in lush rainforest alongside farmland with gardens and a farm working by biodynamic practices. Shearwater the Mullumbimby Steiner School is seeking an experienced class teacher to commence with our new Class 1 children for the 2027 school year. The teacher will provide a dynamic educational environment and learning experience, for all students within the class, as they continue their primary school journey to Class 7.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Steiner Education, with demonstrated experience as a class teacher in a Steiner school and hold relevant teaching qualifications for eligibility for accreditation with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
