We currently have an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join the team at Bethanie Bert England Lodge Aged Care Home.

In this role, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of customer centred therapy and lifestyle programs, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to improve the quality of life of our residents.
This Part Time role is 12 hours per week, with rostered days and shift times negotiated with the successful candidate.
About You
- Current full, unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist
- Relevant experience in an aged care environment or supporting people living with dementia is an advantage, but is not essential
- Be relatable and able to share knowledge in a way that supports change at all levels
- High level of negotiation, communication and relationship building skills
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Able to manage a complex workload and adapt to fast changing priorities and environments
- Is customer focussed and works effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
- Demonstrates effective communication, strong verbal and written skills, and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one)
About the Role:
- Complete therapy assessments and respond to clinical referrals
- Plan and implement individual or group therapeutic activities, whilst working with an interdisciplinary team to maintain an effective referral system and coordinate therapy implementation
- Direct and coordinate Therapy Assistants
- Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and information systems
- Contribute to a multidisciplinary program of continuous improvement
- Incorporate aged care quality standards into all services
- Synthesise information, through observation and written documentation, to provide recommendations that are relationship centred and informed by evidence based best practice
- Undertake a range of assessments that help to understand the holistic experience of the person
