Espier Wine Group is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Winemaker to join our growing winery operations team in Victoria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and supervising grape harvesting, crushing, fermentation, blending and wine production processes.
- Monitoring wine fermentation and maturation processes to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Conducting wine tasting, sensory evaluation and laboratory analysis throughout the winemaking process.
- Developing and improving wine production techniques, fermentation methods and product quality standards.
- Managing wine production schedules and coordinating winery operations during vintage periods.
- Monitoring wine storage conditions, barrel maturation and bottling processes.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety standards, quality assurance procedures and industry regulations.
- Working closely with vineyard and production teams regarding grape quality, harvest timing and production requirements.
- Maintaining accurate production records, laboratory results and winemaking documentation.
- Assisting with the development of new wine products and premium wine blends aligned with the company’s boutique wine philosophy.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in Winemaking, Viticulture, Food Science or a related field.
- At least 1 year of relevant full-time work experience as a Winemaker or related occupation.
- Strong knowledge of wine fermentation, laboratory testing and wine production processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a winery production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and passion for premium wine production.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
