Reporting to the Concrete Plant Manager, the Country Batcher is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the concrete plant to ensure customer satisfaction through plant availability, batch accuracy and efficient loading of trucks. The role is responsible for concrete production, plant performance, raw material stock management, minor maintenance activities and ensuring the plant operates in accordance with safety, environmental and company standards.
- Responsible for batching and concrete production within the concrete plant.
- Ensure concrete is produced safely, efficiently and in accordance with customer requirements and quality standards.
- Maintain plant performance through regular inspections and preventative maintenance reporting.
- Coordinate servicing and minor repairs of plant and equipment to minimise interruptions to production.
- Monitor, manage and order raw materials to ensure continuous plant operation.
- Complete daily plant administration, production records, stock control and SAP transactions.
- Liaise with customers, drivers, suppliers and the Customer Service Centre to achieve production and delivery requirements.
- Develop and maintain positive customer relationships and identify local market opportunities.
- Take customer concrete orders, allocate trucks and manage selling prices.
- Ensure the site, plant and equipment are maintained to an acceptable operational and presentation standard.
- Promote and actively participate in the company's Zero Harm culture, including safety observations, hazard reporting and compliance with all safety, environmental and risk management requirements.

- Front End Loader experience is preferred but not essential.
