We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and deliver projects across our Metropolitan Aggregates operations. This role is responsible for managing project outcomes, coordinating resources, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work closely with operational teams, contractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders to drive successful project delivery and support the ongoing growth and performance of the business.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing projects from planning through to execution and completion.
- Coordinating project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables.
- Supporting operational teams to ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, suppliers, and clients.
- Monitoring project performance and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
- Preparing project reports, forecasts, and updates for key stakeholders.
- Supporting capital works, infrastructure upgrades, and site improvement projects across the Metropolitan Aggregates network.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated project management experience within quarrying, construction materials, mining, civil construction, or heavy industrial environments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Experience managing contractors and coordinating project resources.
- Sound knowledge of workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to manage project costs and deliver against budgets.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and organisational skills.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across operational and support teams.
