Farm Mechanic – Full-Time Position
Bunya Fresh is a large-scale, high-tech greenhouse tomato operation based on the Sunshine Coast. We’re seeking a skilled and reliable Farm Mechanic to maintain and repair equipment across two local farm sites. This full-time role offers stable employment in a hardworking, supportive team within a modern, technology-driven horticultural environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and repair farm equipment including tractors, conveyors, pumps, and automated machinery
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults quickly to minimise downtime
- Perform regular preventative maintenance and maintain service records
- Work across two farm locations as part of a shared maintenance team
- Promote and follow safe work practices at all times
- (Advantageous) Support basic upkeep of greenhouse systems (irrigation/climate control, sensors, VSDs)
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds mechanical trade qualifications or has extensive hands-on experience
- Has experience with agricultural or heavy-duty machinery
- Has machining and fabrication skills (highly regarded)
- Has electrical experience (favoured but not essential)
- Is practical, solutions-focused, and able to work independently
- Has good communication skills and works well within a team
