About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for Casual Registered Nurses to join our Community Nursing Team, providing high-quality care across Forster, Taree, Bulahdelah and Gloucester Community Health and Aged Care Services.
As part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you'll deliver person-centred care to patients in both clinic and home settings while working alongside specialists in Wound Management, Palliative Care, Cardiac and Respiratory Rehabilitation, Continence, Dietetics, Diabetes, Immunisation and Audiometry. Every day offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients as you support them to remain healthy and independent within their own communities. From your first day, you'll be supported by an experienced Nurse Unit Manager, with specialty guidance from our Wound Management Specialist and ongoing education provided by our Clinical Nurse Educator. You'll also have access to relevant education and professional development opportunities that support your ongoing growth within community nursing.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Community Registered Nurse, you will deliver evidence-based, person-centred nursing care across community clinics and patients' homes. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will support patients with a range of clinical needs while promoting independence, wellbeing and positive health outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing comprehensive wound assessment and management in both clinic and home environments.

Delivering nursing treatments and interventions within the community.

Performing catheter changes and port flushes within specialty clinics.

Monitoring patient progress and responding to changes in clinical condition.

Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate holistic care.

Providing education and support to patients, families and carers.

Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and contributing to safe, high-quality service delivery.
About you

Essential requirements:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
Excellent clinical assessment and communication skills.
A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
A genuine interest in developing skills within community nursing.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work autonomously.
A commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based and compassionate care.
