Field Technician – Fitness Facilities Maintenance & Service
About the Role
We are looking for a Sydney-based Field Technician, or someone working in a hands-on trade, maintenance, facilities, cleaning, automotive, appliance repair, or similar technical environment with transferable skills.
This is an opportunity for a practical, self-motivated individual who enjoys working independently, operating specialist equipment, solving problems, and delivering high-quality results.
As a valued member of our team, you’ll be responsible for servicing commercial fitness facilities across Sydney and surrounding areas. Your work will include preventative maintenance, deep cleaning, cleaning, restoration, equipment care, and facility inspections within gyms, health clubs, group training studios, and fitness centres.
Using professional floor scrubbers, restoration equipment, and specialist cleaning systems, you’ll help maintain safe, clean, and high-performing training environments for our clients and their members.
This is a field-based role requiring regular travel between sites and includes weekend work.
Key Responsibilities
- Service commercial fitness facilities throughout Sydney and surrounding areas
- Deep clean and restore rubber gym flooring, turf, sled tracks, and hard floor surfaces
- Clean and detail fitness equipment and training areas
- Operate professional floor scrubbers and specialised maintenance equipment
- Conduct routine facility inspections and identify maintenance issues
- Complete service reports and site documentation
- Maintain company equipment, vehicle, and tools
- Build strong relationships with gym owners, managers, and staff
- Deliver a consistently high standard of workmanship and customer service
Ideally You Will Possess
- Strong practical and mechanical aptitude
- Experience in facilities maintenance, cleaning, trades, automotive, appliance repair, landscaping, construction, or similar hands-on industries
- A positive, solutions-focused attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively
- Customer-first mindset
- Physical fitness and willingness to perform hands-on work
- Current Australian driver’s licence

Package
- $85,000 total package (including superannuation and weekend loading)
