The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Pavement Lead ANZ to provide strategic and technical leadership across our pavement engineering business throughout Australia and New Zealand.
This is a key leadership role responsible for driving the growth, technical excellence, and successful delivery of pavement engineering services across a diverse portfolio of major transport and infrastructure projects. Leveraging your extensive expertise in pavement materials, design methodologies, asset management, and construction practices, you will lead the development of innovative, practical, and cost-effective pavement solutions for road, highway and transport infrastructure clients.
As the Pavement Lead ANZ, you will oversee technical governance, mentor and develop engineering teams, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to business development initiatives.
This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, or Auckland.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Pavement Engineering discipline across Australia and New Zealand, providing strategic direction, technical governance, and capability development.
Drive the delivery of high-quality pavement engineering solutions for major transport and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant Australian and New Zealand standards.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and supporting business development, proposals, and major project pursuits.
Mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing team of pavement engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
Provide senior technical leadership and oversight across projects, supporting multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, sustainable, and commercially successful outcomes.
Required Skills and Competencies
Extensive experience in pavement engineering, with strong expertise in pavement design, analysis, materials, and rehabilitation for major transport and infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience mentoring teams, providing technical direction, and driving engineering excellence.
Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to identify opportunities and support business growth across the ANZ market.
Degree-qualified Civil Engineer with proficiency in pavement design software such as CIRCLY and a strong understanding of Austroads, Australian, and New Zealand pavement design standards
