This is an outstanding opportunity to work directly with our Partner, Edward Martin, who leads complex commercial disputes and regulatory investigations for Australian and international clients.
Edward leads a dynamic and strategic practice that is currently in a growth phase. This role offers genuine opportunities for career progression, significant client exposure, and increasing responsibility in leading matters from strategy through to determination. You will develop direct client relationships, take responsibility for managing key workstreams, mentor junior lawyers, and gain opportunities for court appearances while working closely with counsel.
You will gain exposure to a wide range of complex, high-value disputes and regulatory matters across diverse sectors, acting for clients ranging from household-name global companies to Australian government entities.
You’ll work across a diverse range of matters, including:
- Complex Federal Court and Supreme Court litigation
- Class actions and shareholder disputes
- Cross-border disputes
- Major regulatory investigations and enforcement matters (ASIC, ACCC, ATO, APRA)
- Strategic commercial disputes for financial institutions, multinational and listed corporations
- Multi-party disputes and high-stakes negotiations, including through alternative dispute resolution processes
We are looking for a Senior Associate who is commercially minded, solutions-focused and energised by challenging work in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum 4.5+ years’ PQE gained in private practice
- Strong experience in litigation, regulatory matters and/or complex disputes
- Exposure to alternative dispute resolution processes
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to manage client relationships and stakeholders effectively
