Willow Tree Early Learning Centre is opening its doors for the very first time, and we're looking for a Centre Director who wants more than a finished building and an established routine — someone who wants to help create both. This is a rare opportunity to shape a brand new, purpose-built 92-place service from its very first enrolment, and to grow into its long-term leader as it flourishes.
Like the willow tree itself, our name reflects who we want to be: rooted in strength and stability, flexible enough to bend and grow with every child, family and educator who joins us.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Spread across three beautifully designed levels — nurturing birth-to-three rooms downstairs, and vibrant preschool rooms upstairs — Willow Tree will be home to up to 92 children and their families. As our founding Centre Director, you will set a strong foundation for its growth.
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT
We want to be upfront: this is not a typical, established-centre director role, and it won't stay the same shape forever — it will grow as we do.
- In our early months, you'll be rostered on the floor as an educator, working alongside our team, getting to know every family as they walk through our doors for the first time.
- You'll be building the systems, routines and culture that Willow Tree will run on for years to come
- As our enrolments grow and our team settles into rhythm, your time on the floor will steadily reduce, and you'll transition into a dedicated leadership and compliance-focused Director role.
- You'll have real influence over how this service looks, feels and operates — this is centre leadership with a founder's mindset.
ABOUT YOU
- You hold an approved Diploma or Bachelor level Early Childhood qualification (or higher).
- You've led a room, a centre, or an educational program before, and you know the National Law, Regulations, NQS and EYLF inside out.
- You genuinely love being in the room with children and educators — you're not looking to be office-bound from day one.
- You're energised, not daunted, by building something new: policies, processes, relationships, culture.
- You build trust with families quickly and naturally, especially when everything around them is new too.
- You hold a current NSW Working with Children Check and approved First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates.
WHAT WE OFFER
- The rare chance to shape a centre's culture and systems from day one, rather than inherit someone else's.
- A clear, supported pathway from hands-on floor leadership into a dedicated off-the-floor Director role as the centre grows.
- A purpose-built, multi-level facility designed around children's learning and wellbeing.
- A collaborative Approved Provider who will back your operational and educational decisions.
- Competitive remuneration reflecting the scope and nature of this role.

If you're ready to help grow a centre from its very first day — and to grow alongside it — we'd love to hear from you. .
