About the Role
We are seeking an Enrolled Nurse (EN) to join our growing Urgent Care Service.
Working alongside Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals, you will provide safe, efficient and high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with urgent illnesses and injuries.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Enrolled Nurse to further develop their clinical skills, work within a collaborative team and contribute to the growth of Urgent Care in Australia.
About the Role – Key Responsibilities
You will contribute to both clinical care and the efficient operation of the Urgent Care centre, including:
- Providing safe, high-quality nursing care within your scope of practice.
- Working collaboratively with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to assess and support patients.
- Conducting patient history assessments and supporting appropriate patient care pathways.
- Administering medications in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and scope of practice.
- Providing wound care, plastering and assistance with clinical procedures.
- Supporting patient education and providing clear information to promote recovery and ongoing care.
- Supporting patient assessment and guidance in line with relevant inclusion and exclusion criteria.
- Maintaining accurate, comprehensive and timely clinical documentation.
- Assisting with Medicare billing, coding and other administrative requirements.
- Maintaining accurate patient registration and appointment information.
- Supporting a welcoming, organised and efficient clinical environment.
- Ensuring clinical areas are appropriately stocked, maintained and compliant with relevant policies and procedures.
- Identifying and reporting incidents, hazards and safety concerns.
- Actively contributing to workplace health and safety initiatives.
- Maintaining professional standards and delivering care in accordance with ForHealth policies, procedures and applicable standards.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Relevant clinical experience in one or more of the following:
- 3+ years' experience in primary care or general practice nursing; or
- 2+ years' experience in an Emergency Department or similar acute-care environment; or
- 3+ years' experience in medical/surgical, orthopaedic or similar acute-care settings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- The ability to respond appropriately to patient needs and clinical escalations.
- A patient-centred approach and commitment to delivering high-quality care.
- Flexibility and availability to work evenings and weekends.
Successful applicants will be required to provide a Working with Children Check and, where applicable, a National Police Check and International Police Check.
