Join a growing real estate team and work closely with an experienced sales professional. Mandarin fluency essential. Real estate experience preferred but not required.
- Mandarin speaking role – written & spoken fluency essential
- Hands-on exposure to residential property sales
- Ideal for a reliable, organised and people-focused candidate
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, organised and people-focused Sales Assistant / Sales Associate to support an experienced residential real estate sales professional.
This is a hands-on role combining sales administration, client communication, property inspections and day-to-day sales support.
You will be involved across the sales process — from preparing paperwork and maintaining accurate client records, to communicating with buyers and vendors, assisting with property campaigns and supporting Open for Inspections.
Previous real estate experience will be highly regarded, but is not essential for the right person.
What matters most to us is your attitude.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, professional, willing to learn, comfortable dealing with people and committed to getting things done properly.
Professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese, both spoken and written, is essential.
Key Responsibilities
You will work closely with a senior sales professional and assist with the smooth day-to-day operation of residential property sales.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing day-to-day administrative and sales support
- Preparing and organising sales paperwork and property documentation
- Maintaining accurate buyer, vendor and property information in the CRM/database
- Responding to and following up buyer enquiries
- Communicating professionally with Mandarin- and English-speaking clients
- Assisting with buyer and vendor follow-up
- Coordinating appointments, inspections and sales-related activities
- Assisting with property marketing campaigns and advertising administration
- Preparing materials and information for property listings and inspections
- Attending and assisting with Open for Inspections
- Liaising with clients, colleagues, marketing providers and other stakeholders
- Tracking outstanding tasks and ensuring matters are followed through to completion
- Providing general administrative support wherever required
As you develop in the role, you will have the opportunity to gain broader exposure to buyer management, client relationships, property campaigns and the residential sales process.
About You
We are looking for someone who is reliable, grounded, organised and good with people.
You do not need to be an aggressive salesperson.
However, you should be confident communicating with clients, comfortable picking up the phone, willing to meet new people and able to follow tasks through properly.
You will ideally:
- Be fluent in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese
- Communicate confidently and professionally in English
- Enjoy interacting with people from different backgrounds
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Be highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Be dependable and take ownership of assigned tasks
- Be comfortable receiving direction and constructive feedback
- Be able to adapt when priorities change
- Have a positive, team-first attitude
- Be calm, practical and helpful in a busy environment
- Understand the importance of discretion and confidentiality
- Be punctual and take commitments seriously
- Learn quickly and be comfortable using technology and CRM systems
- Be interested in a stable role with longer-term professional development
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who can be trusted and relied upon.
Experience
Previous experience in any of the following will be highly regarded:
- Real estate
- Property administration
- Sales administration
- Customer service
- Reception or office administration
- Client relationship or account support
- Hospitality, retail or another customer-facing environment
However, real estate experience is not essential for the right candidate.
If you have strong communication skills, the right attitude and a genuine willingness to learn, we encourage you to apply.
A Victorian real estate qualification or eligibility to work as an Agent's Representative will be highly regarded.
Candidates who are currently completing, or are willing to complete, the required qualification before undertaking regulated real estate duties are also encouraged to apply.
A current driver's licence and the ability to travel to property inspections will be advantageous.
Availability to assist with Saturday property inspections is important for this role.
Why Join Us?
This is an opportunity to work closely with an experienced residential sales professional and gain genuine hands-on exposure to the property sales process.
Rather than working in a purely administrative role, you will see how property campaigns, client relationships, buyer enquiries, inspections and transactions are managed from beginning to end.
For someone starting their real estate career, this is an excellent opportunity to learn through practical experience.
For someone who already has administration, customer service or property experience, this is an opportunity to take on a trusted position with genuine responsibility and become an important part of the team.
We value:
Reliability. Communication. Attention to detail. Teamwork. Professionalism. Long-term relationships.
If this sounds like the way you like to work, we would like to hear from you.
How to Apply
Please submit your resume and a short cover letter introducing yourself and explaining why you believe you would be a good fit for this position.
In your cover letter, please briefly include:
- Your level of spoken and written Mandarin Chinese
- Any relevant real estate, administration, sales or customer service experience
- Why you are interested in this position and the property industry
All applications will be treated confidentially.
If you are organised, dependable, enjoy working with people and would like to build your experience in Melbourne real estate, we encourage you to apply.
