Kearns Early Learning is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Educator to join our Early Childhood team.
This is a 12-month full-time traineeship (38 hours per week) where the successful applicant will work while completing a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
As a Trainee Educator, you will work alongside experienced educators to support children’s learning, development and wellbeing in a nurturing and engaging environment.
Essential Requirements
Hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or be willing to obtain one prior to commencement
Hold valid Australian working rights
Be eligible to undertake a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care traineeship
Demonstrate a commitment to child safety and child safe practices
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally with families, educators, management and training providers
Be reliable, responsible and committed to learning and professional growth
Work effectively within a professional team environment
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of educational programs in line with EYLF, NQF and NQS
Assist with setting up and maintaining engaging indoor and outdoor learning environments
Build positive relationships with children, families and educators
Observe children’s learning and contribute to documentation and planning
Participate in reflective practice and team discussions
Follow service policies, procedures and child protection requirements
Contribute positively to a supportive and collaborative workplace culture

Additional Information
Full time position – 38 hours per week
Flexibility is required to work rostered shifts between 6:30am and 6:30pm Monday to Friday
