Resource Accommodation Management (RAM) seeks to appoint a Cook for our Lodge Restaurant in Newman, WA. Working closely with our Head chef and the rest of the kitchen and dining team, the role will be residential in Newman on a 5/2 basis with accommodation and some meals provided.
As we own and operate our facilities, our focus is on attraction and satisfaction of guests. We offer more flexible and satisfying kitchen roles as our scope and menus are not contractually fixed. We are constantly innovating in our kitchens and always looking for new menu items.
Responsibilities
- Food preparation and cooking of a la carte meals night.
- Food preparation and cooking of buffet breakfast.
- Preparation of crib / lunches both prepacked and MYO.
- Supervision of kitchen staff.
- Managing Food safety and compliance with Food Safety policies and procedure.
- Auditing of kitchen operations.
- Assisting with food ordering and stocktakes
- Coordination of maintenance requirements for the Kitchen
- examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
- regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
- preparing and cooking food
- seasoning food during cooking
- portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
- storing food in temperature controlled facilities
- preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
- Planning menus in conjunction with the Head Chef
What we require from you:
- Experience in working in / managing kitchen operations.
- Experience in remote kitchen operations / workforce accommodation
- Relevant Diploma and full-time experience.
Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
