Scone Hospital features a mixed medical and surgical ward, operating theatre, maternity unit, emergency department and onsite medical imaging, providing exposure to a broad range of clinical presentations and opportunities to further develop your nursing skills. What You Will Be Doing
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide safe, evidence-based and person-centred care while managing a patient load within the ward environment. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and After Hours Nurse Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating daily clinical activities and supporting positive patient outcomes.
Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will:

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.

Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across a variety of clinical presentations.

Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating care when required.

Administer medications and treatments in accordance with professional standards and hospital policies.

Collaborate with medical officers, allied health professionals and nursing colleagues to support holistic patient care.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to a safe and efficient clinical environment.

Support and mentor junior staff while contributing to a positive team culture.

Work across other departments within the facility or nearby facilities as required, broadening your clinical experience.
About you
We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse who enjoys the variety of rural nursing and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months' post-registration clinical experience and a genuine passion for supporting both patients and colleagues. You will be adaptable, proactive and keen to contribute to the continued growth of our young and emerging team while embracing opportunities to further develop your own clinical capability.
Essential Requirements

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong clinical judgement and commitment to evidence-based practice.

Experience in venepuncture and/or cannulation, or a willingness to complete competency training.

The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Flexibility to work across departments and nearby facilities when required.

A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
