Lead enterprise-wide information governance uplift across digital and physical data
Drive culture change through training, adoption and business engagement
Shape how data is classified, retained and securely managed at scale
Partner with senior stakeholders across Technology, Risk and the business
The opportunity to join our team
This is a genuinely high impact role where you will shape how information is governed and managed across a complex, regulated environment. Sitting at the intersection of data, risk and technology, you will lead the operationalisation of information lifecycle management across platforms like SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams, with a strong focus on embedding effective scanning and destruction practices across both structured and unstructured data. Through this, you will help protect sensitive data, improve operational efficiency and enable better business outcomes through practical, well adopted governance practices.
In the near term, you will take ownership of key initiatives that strengthen information governance capability, improve classification accuracy and uplift retention and disposal outcomes. Over time, you will play a leading role in embedding best practice information management across the organisation, driving meaningful behaviour change through training, engagement and practical, scalable controls.
This is an opportunity to build capability, influence senior stakeholders and create sustainable change in how information is managed, protected and leveraged across the business. If you are motivated by shaping culture, uplifting capability and delivering meaningful change in a complex environment, this role offers the scope and visibility to do exactly that.
What you will do
In this role, you will focus on embedding information governance into everyday operations, ensuring it is practical, adopted and aligned to regulatory requirements.
You will:
Lead configuration, optimisation and ongoing management of information governance tools such as RecordPoint and Microsoft Purview
Operationalise scanning, classification, retention and destruction across structured and unstructured data environments
Oversee lifecycle management across digital and physical records, ensuring consistency, auditability and compliance
Drive improvements in classifier accuracy and reduction of false positives through platform tuning and governance controls
Deliver organisation-wide training and uplift capability in information handling, classification and retention practices
Act as a visible leader for information management adoption, influencing behaviours and embedding a strong governance culture
Partner with Technology, Risk, Legal and business teams to embed governance controls into delivery and BAU processes
What You Bring to This Role
You bring a strong foundation in information governance and a track record of translating policy into practical, scalable solutions that work in real business environments.
You will have:
Experience in information management, records governance or data lifecycle management within a regulated environment
Exposure to platforms such as RecordPoint, Microsoft Purview or similar governance tooling
Proven ability to operationalise classification, retention and destruction across enterprise platforms like M365
Strong understanding of regulatory obligations and governance frameworks, ideally within financial services or a similar industry
Experience delivering training and driving adoption across diverse stakeholder groups
The ability to balance risk, compliance and commercial outcomes in a pragmatic way
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and partner at all levels
A focus on continuous improvement, using insights and data to uplift governance outcomes
