About St. Siandra
St. Siandra is a beautiful waterfront restaurant in Sydney, offering a relaxed yet refined dining experience built around the concept of Coastal Mediterranean through an Australian Native Lens.
With a strong focus on quality food, wine, cocktails and genuine hospitality, we are building St. Siandra into a destination where guests can enjoy everything from a relaxed lunch by the water to long afternoons, celebrations and special occasions.
We are currently growing our team and looking for an experienced Section Waiter who wants to be part of this next chapter.
About the Role
This is a hands-on floor role for someone who understands that great hospitality is about much more than taking orders.
You will take ownership of your section and be responsible for creating a warm, professional and memorable experience for every guest.
You will:
- Deliver confident, warm and professional table service
- Take ownership of your section from arrival through to farewell
- Develop strong knowledge of our food, wine, cocktails and Australian native ingredients
- Confidently explain dishes and answer guest questions
- Make thoughtful food and beverage recommendations
- Create genuine engagement and connection with guests
- Recognise opportunities to enhance the guest experience and increase spend naturally
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen, bar, runners and management
- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and service
- Look after birthdays, anniversaries, first-time guests and regulars with attention to detail
- Support your teammates and contribute to a positive team culture
The Person We're Looking For
You are an experienced hospitality professional who:
- Has previous experience as a waiter or section waiter in a quality restaurant
- Has strong food and beverage knowledge
- Takes genuine pride in hospitality and guest experience
- Is confident, warm and engaging with guests
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is organised and calm under pressure
- Understands the importance of timing, communication and teamwork
- Is reliable, punctual and professional
- Is passionate about learning and developing
- Wants to be part of a team that is building something special
