About You
You are an experienced commercial disputes lawyer with a minimum of 3 years' experience, bringing a strong track record from private practice or in-house roles within large organisations.
Your Experience & Expertise:
- Demonstrated experience managing commercial disputes and litigation matters in either a private practice, government or in-house legal environment
- Strong experience supporting the day-to-day management of dispute matters, including strategy development, risk assessment, stakeholder management and matter coordination
- Proven ability to liaise effectively with external legal providers, review legal advice and oversee the delivery of legal services to ensure positive outcomes
- Experience providing practical, risk-based legal advice to internal clients on contentious matters and dispute management strategies
- Ability to manage multiple dispute matters concurrently while maintaining a high standard of legal analysis and stakeholder service
- Experience working on construction, infrastructure or major project disputes, including contractual disputes, claims management and project-related risk issues
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work closely with operational teams, executives, government stakeholders and external advisers
- Ability to work autonomously and take carriage of matters while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Experience operating within a government, infrastructure, transport or public sector environment would be highly regarded

- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage effectively with internal clients and external advisers
- High level of professionalism, discretion and sound judgement
- Client-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal support and service
- Capable of quickly understanding complex legal, commercial and operational issues and providing practical recommendations for action
Requirements:
- Current Australian practising certificate
