About the Role
As the Senior Program Officer, you will join the Workforce Planning branch within the Sector Leadership Development team. This role is focused on researching, designing, developing, and delivering high-quality leadership development programs for both Senior Executives and non-executive staff across the NSW public sector.
This role brings together learning design and facilitation, requiring you to operate at both a strategic and practical hands-on delivery level. You will have the ability to translate workforce insights into engaging, evidence-based learning experiences that drive meaningful capability uplift across the sector.
This role is ideal for someone who excels in end-to-end program design and delivery. Creating innovative learning solutions and confidently facilitating them for diverse and senior audiences. Working in close partnership with stakeholders and delivery partners, you will continuously refine and evolve programs to ensure they remain contemporary, impactful, scalable, and aligned with shifting sector priorities.

We're Looking For
- Facilitation and Engagement: Strong facilitation skills with the ability to create engaging learning experiences, manage group dynamics and adapt delivery across face-to-face, hybrid and virtual environments.

Stakeholder and Partnership Management: Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, providers and business partners to align learning solutions with leadership priorities and organisational needs.

Learning Design Expertise: Experience in horizons trend scanning, designing and delivering contemporary leadership development programs, workshops and blended learning solutions using adult learning principles for diverse audiences, including senior executives.

Commercial and Strategic Judgement: Ability to provide advice on high-quality, cost-effective learning solutions and manage third-party providers to deliver outcomes aligned with leadership strategy and sector capability uplift.
