Our 2 West Ward is currently seeking a Ward Clerk to support the Plastic Services team. In this role, you will provide essential administrative and clerical support, including managing patient records, coordinating communication and responding to patient enquiries. As the first point of contact for the ward, you will contribute to the efficient day to day operations of a fast-paced environment, helping ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive clerical and administrative support to the ward team, including general administrative duties
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, and assist with appointment scheduling
- Support efficient workflow in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Coordinate communication between multidisciplinary teams, patients, and visitors
- Act as the first point of contact while managing admissions, transfers, and discharges using hospital systems
About You
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication and professional phone manner
- Demonstrated clerical, administrative, and IT proficiency
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively within a team
- Self-motivated, reliable, and committed to ongoing professional development
- Desirable: Experience in an administration hospital-based role
