We are looking for a Financial Analyst (Management Accountant) who will support the Finance team in the preparation of financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and business performance analysis. Working under the guidance of senior finance personnel, the role assists with management accounting activities, financial analysis, and performance reporting to support business planning and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end closings to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts and review actual performance against forecast results.
- Conduct variance analysis and present insights to support management decision-making and business planning.
- Collaborate on annual budgets and provide ongoing support for budget management.
- Assist in preparing feasibility analyses for new sites and business opportunities.
- Perform yield analysis reporting, including pricing, service mix, volume trends and labour efficiencies.
- Assist with capital expenditure submissions, financial modelling, and commercial analysis to support investment decisions.
- Monitor contract performance and profitability to recommend cost optimisation opportunities.
- Liaise with key stakeholders in the business and in Park24 (our Tokyo-based parent company).
Key Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting, finance or business environment
- Bachelor of Economics, Accounting or Commerce, or equivalent qualification
- Understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting principles
- Experience preparing reports and working with financial information
- Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written Japanese.
Desirable
- Exposure to management accounting or financial analysis activities
- Experience working within a corporate environment
- CPA or CA qualification, or willingness to pursue professional studies.
