In this role, you'll:
Lead and deliver complex transport (Road) engineering and infrastructure projects to agreed time, cost, quality and scope requirements.
Manage project planning, design development, technical documentation, cost estimating and contract administration.
Work independently while also providing clear leadership and direction to project staff, coordinators and technical contributors.
Oversee contractor performance, ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards, and maintain strong project governance.
Resolve complex technical, operational and statutory issues to support project progress and timely decision‑making.
Engage effectively with stakeholders to support collaboration, consultation and project outcomes.
Implement project management processes, maintain accurate reporting and support continuous improvement across programs.
Contribute to a customer‑focused and community‑centred approach to planning and delivery of infrastructure projects.

About you:
Demonstrates strong project leadership capability, with experience guiding project teams, coordinators and contractors across multiple project stages.
Brings sound judgement and advanced problem‑solving skills, particularly in navigating complex technical, statutory or compliance‑related issues.
Possesses solid property and infrastructure understanding, including working within regulatory, planning or statutory frameworks.
Able to work independently with autonomy while managing competing priorities and delivering high‑quality outcomes.
Shows strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills suited to complex multi‑agency environments.
Experienced in procurement, contract management, design coordination, project development or delivery within infrastructure or related fields.
Holds a four‑year civil engineering degree from an Australian university or an equivalent overseas qualification acceptable for professional recognition within Australia.
Holds a current and valid Australian motor vehicle driver licence and is willing to work outside normal working hours and travel on occasion.
