Melody Piano Academy is a growing private piano school looking for a passionate and reliable Piano Teacher to join our team.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and teenagers and is committed to helping students build strong musical foundations while developing confidence and enjoyment in playing piano.
About the Role
You will be responsible for providing individual piano lessons to students, primarily children and teenagers, with the opportunity to teach students from beginner through to more advanced levels.
Lessons may include:
- Beginner to advanced piano tuition
- AMEB exam preparation
- Music theory
- Technique and scales
- Sight-reading
- Repertoire development
- Helping students prepare for performances and concerts
- Communicating student progress and practice requirements to parents
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has completed AMEB Grade 8 Piano or equivalent
- Has previous piano teaching experience
- Enjoys working with children and teenagers
- Is patient, encouraging and professional
- Has good communication skills
- Is reliable and organised
- Is comfortable teaching students of different ages and abilities
- Has an ABN and is able to work as an independent contractor
- Holds a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
Teaching experience with the AMEB syllabus is highly desirable.
Location & Working Hours
The position is based in Perth, Willetton 6155 WA, with lessons primarily scheduled after school and on weekends.
Typical availability required:
Weekdays: approximately 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm (One to Two days)
Weekends: approximately 10:00 am – 7:00 pm
There is flexibility around the days and hours depending on your availability and student demand.

Pay
$35 - $40 per hour
This is an independent contractor position, and you will be responsible for your own ABN, tax and relevant insurance requirements.
