Specialty Barista – The Belle General & The Belle Central (Ballina)

We're on the hunt for an experienced specialty barista to join our crew at The Belle — a local icon serving exceptional coffee and high-quality wholefoods, with a strong focus on organic, vegan and gluten-free.
Coffee is everything to us. We hold a genuinely high standard behind the machine, pulling Allpress in a fast-paced, high-volume setting — and we're after a barista who takes that craft as seriously as we do.
The Belle has two venues in Ballina — The Belle General (East Ballina) and The Belle Central (town) — and this role works across both, four days a week. There's a real opportunity for the right person to grow into a team leader or venue manager role.
What you'll be doing:
- Running the barista station on Allpress coffee in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Confidently working the station solo on quieter days (back-up barista provided on busier days/seasons)
- Preparing in-house stock (chocolate mix, chai, etc.)
- Keeping a clean, calm, well-organised station — including end-of-day reset and clean-down
- Delivering exceptional service in a venue known for quality, care and connection
We're looking for someone who:
- Has solid specialty coffee experience and thrives in a busy café
- Is confident and consistent solo behind the machine
- Takes pride in clean, efficient, professional service
- Brings a positive, can-do attitude and loves being part of a close-knit team
- Is flexible and reliable, with weekend availability
- Is ready to start ASAP and grow with us
