Located in Geelong, Victoria, the company operates across multiple sectors, including Information Technology (IT) services, cloud computing, cybersecurity, software development, and engineering support. With a multidisciplinary approach, the company supports businesses in modernising and scaling their operations.
They are currently seeking a Civil Engineering Draftsman to support their engineering and construction projects. The role would involve preparing detailed technical drawings, assisting Engineers with design documentation, and ensuring accurate drafting outputs for civil and infrastructure works. This aligns with the company’s broader focus on delivering structured, high-quality engineering and technology-driven project solutions.
The annual salary for this position is $77,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation.
Duties include:
- Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings, plans, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Draft roadworks, drainage systems, subdivisions, earthworks, utilities, and infrastructure layouts.
- Convert engineering designs, sketches, and specifications into accurate technical drawings.
- Assist Civil Engineers in the preparation and development of project designs.
- Produce site plans, grading plans, longitudinal sections, cross-sections, and construction drawings.
- Review and amend drawings in accordance with project requirements and engineering instructions.
- Ensure drawings comply with Australian Standards, local regulations, and client specifications.
- Coordinate with Engineers, Surveyors, Architects, and project stakeholders to obtain required design information.
- Interpret survey data, engineering reports, and technical specifications for drafting purposes.
- Prepare and maintain drawing registers, revisions, and project documentation.
- Update engineering drawings to reflect design changes and as-built information.
- Assist with quantity calculations and material estimations where required.
- Conduct quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support project teams throughout planning, design, approval, and construction phases.
- Maintain electronic drawing files and document management systems.
- Ensure work is completed within project deadlines and company quality standards.
- Participate in design review meetings and provide drafting support to engineering teams.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and company drafting standards.
Qualifications:
- Should possess a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or higher qualification in Civil Engineering Drafting, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year of relevant Australian experience as a Civil Engineering Draftsperson.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of civil design principles and Australian standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Pay: $77,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
