Catalina club restaurant operates regularly to serve high patron volumes and experiences strong demand during peak service times, major events, and function bookings.
About the role
Catalina Club Restaurant is seeking a skilled and motivated full-time chef with good experience and knowledge in the grill section. The grill is a pivotal part of our kitchen. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing a busy kitchen section, maintaining kitchen quality, cleanliness, and efficiency.
Job responsibilities
- Take care of daily food preparation and duties assigned by superiors to meet the standard and quality set by the restaurant
- Work with the Head Chef / Sous to plan and execute new dishes as required
- Demonstrate a keen interest in growing food trends, techniques and the ability to contribute to menu planning
- Display excellent preparation, cooking and plating skills
- Demonstrate bulk preparation and food presentation skills along with a strong understanding of food safety and HACCP
- Ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times
- Demonstrate excellent supportive and leadership skill set by the team
- Control and manage daily kitchen functions, i.e. ordering, stock rotation, etc.
Qualification & Experience:
- Formal trade qualification in commercial cookery
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to work in a team and foster an environment of helping others
- Certification in food handling and safety
- Willingness to work in other positions when needed by the operation
- Ability to solve problems and work independently

Pay: $80,000.00 – $82,000.00 per year
