About the role:
An exciting opportunity has become available for enthusiastic, motivated and innovative Registered Nurses to join the team at Ward 8A. If you are a dynamic, experienced nursing professional with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care this position could be for you.
As a Registered Nurse on Ward 8A, our focus is on the quality of patient care with has a strong emphasis on teamwork across all disciplines of the healthcare team, to achieve the best possible outcome for our patients.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure high quality patient care is delivered in line with Western Health policies and procedures
- Provide exceptional care to patients with acute cardiac conditions
- Opportunity to undertake leadership roles and development programs
- Role model strong clinical and professional behaviours and lead by example
About you:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a General Medicine or Acute Medical ward
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centred nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions
- Excellent clinical assessment, prioritisation and decision-making skills in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, organise workload and respond appropriately to clinical deterioration
- Commitment to patient safety and quality improvement
- Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care, cultural safety and respect for diversity
- Competency in electronic medical records (EMR) and accurate clinical documentation
- Ability to work a rotating 7-day roster
