Kitchen Operations:
- Assist the head chef and team with daily ingredient preparation and cooking to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare and present sushi, ensuring it meets high-quality standards.
- Prepare other Japanese dishes as required, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
Hygiene and Safety:
- Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure the work area is clean and tidy, following food safety procedures.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient operation and seamless service.
- Assist the head chef with other cooking tasks and preparations as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A Food Safety Certificate is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Cook or Sushi Chef in a busy restaurant environment.
- Strong knife skills and ingredient handling abilities, particularly in sushi preparation.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- A strong sense of responsibility and good time management skills.
