Junior Detail Technician
Detail Fix is growing, and I'm looking for the right person to join me.
I'm looking for a reliable and motivated person to join Detail Fix as a Junior Detail Technician.
This is an entry-level role for someone who wants to learn professional vehicle detailing properly and grow with a small business that is building something.
You do not need years of detailing experience. I'm more interested in your attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.
What the role involves
Initially, you will work alongside me on mobile detailing jobs across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie while learning how I do things and building your skills.
You will learn about:
- Professional vehicle washing and decontamination
- Interior detailing and extraction
- Paint preparation and polishing
- Ceramic coating preparation and aftercare
- Working professionally around customers and their vehicles
- How a mobile detailing business actually operates
As you build your skills and prove yourself, there will be an opportunity to take on more responsibility and eventually work on suitable jobs independently.
The person I'm looking for
You will need to be:
- Reliable and punctual
- Willing to work outdoors and on your feet
- Physically capable of the work
- Willing to listen and take direction
- Proud of the work you do
- Detail-oriented and willing to improve
- Professional around customers
Previous detailing experience is helpful, but not essential.
I'm not expecting you to know everything. I am looking for someone who is willing to learn and take pride in doing things properly.

Detail Fix is a growing mobile detailing business servicing Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.
I'm building the business with the goal of creating a professional operation with good systems and a strong reputation.
Initially, you will be working directly with me and learning the processes properly. As the business grows and you develop, there is the opportunity to take on more responsibility.
The details
Role: Junior Detail Technician
Employment: Casual to start, with the opportunity for increased hours and responsibility as you develop
Location: Mobile work across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie
Pay: Award rates apply, with rates from $34/hr + super for adult casual Level 1 weekday daytime work, depending on classification and hours worked.
