We provide person-centred supports in participants' homes and within the community, delivering high-quality care with compassion, respect and professionalism.We are seeking dedicated and reliable full-time Disability Carers to join our growing team.About the RoleAs a Disability Carer, you will provide individualised support to NDIS participants in their homes and within the community. You will work independently while promoting each participant's choice, independence, dignity and wellbeing.This is a full-time position (38 hours per week). The role requires flexibility to work a rotating roster, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and public holidays, depending on participants' support requirements.Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, continence care and toileting assistance.
- Perform safe manual handling, transfers and positioning using hoists, slings and other mobility equipment.
- Assist participants requiring enteral (PEG) feeding and nutrition support in accordance with individual care plans, organisational policies and delegated health care procedures.
- Support participants with medication administration and monitoring in accordance with care plans and organisational policies.
- Prepare meals and assist with nutrition and hydration.
- Provide domestic assistance, including light household cleaning and laundry.
- Support participants to attend appointments, access the community, participate in social activities and achieve their NDIS goals.
- Maintain accurate progress notes, incident reports and other documentation.
- Recognise and report changes in participants' health, wellbeing or behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with participants, families, allied health professionals and clinical teams to deliver person-centred supports.
- Comply with NDIS Practice Standards, workplace health and safety requirements and organisational policies.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III or Certificate IV in Individual Support (Disability, Ageing or equivalent qualification).
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working with Children Check (where applicable).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- Reliable motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full Australian working rights.
