To achieve this, Support Care Angels’ Mission is to provide a more individual, personalised in-home care service to our clients. The company will provide a professional, quality service from our friendly, experienced staff.
We are currently seeking Female Support Care Workers in the North Brisbane area for our clients.
Skills and qualifications
· Must have Certificate 3 in Disability Care, Individual Support and/or Community Care, Higher or equivalent
· Must have Current First Aid and CPR Certificate from an Australian provider or willingness to obtain
· Must have Current Australian Federal Police check - No more than 3 months old
· Hold or willing to obtain Medication Certification
· Hold or willing to obtain Blue Card (WWCC) and Yellow Card (NDIS Screening)
· Must have a current Driver’s license and own vehicle
· Minimum Monday to Saturday Availability
· Must live in the North Brisbane Area
· Ability to work with diverse people
· Clear and concise communication skills
· Calm and rational response to emergency
· The ability to develop positive relationships with the clients
· Support their individual care plans as appropriate
Responsibilities
Assistance with Travel and Transport: for those who cannot use public or other private transport, from their home to their daytime activities, place of study or workplace etc.
Household Tasks: general household services
Laundry, Meal preparation and delivery.
Assistance with Personal Activities: supporting the development of daily living and life skills Including hygiene, dressing and domestic tasks. For clients with higher or more complex needs, these supports are provided by a worker with additional qualifications and experience.
Assistance with Life Stage Transitions: short or long term supports that focus on strengthening people’s ability to coordinate their supports, so they can live at home and be part of the community.
This includes assistance with accommodation and tenancy obligations, decision making, daily planning, budgeting, as well as connection, mentoring, peer support and building resilience and capacity in areas such as resolving crises.
Participation in the Community: from supporting clients during individual and group community activities to supported shopping, medical appointments, sporting and recreational events, social activities, visiting or making new friends, travel and building confidence and social skills.
Development of Life Skills: supporting skills to live as autonomously as possible including the ability to travel and use public transport independently or with minimal support
Pay: $42.28 per hour
