About Us
With over 25 years' experience, Rokon Civil is a well‑established and highly respected civil contractor delivering quality land development and infrastructure projects across Victoria. With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth, we are expanding our Tenders team and seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join us.
The Role
As a Senior Estimator with Rokon, you will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive and timely tender submissions from first principles across a range of civil construction projects. Working closely with construction and engineering teams, you will analyse drawings, assess risks and opportunities, and contribute to winning strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction, subdivision and infrastructure projects from first principles
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documents
- Complete quantities, take‑offs and Bills of Quantities
- Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Identify risks, value‑engineering opportunities and scope clarifications
- Support the bid submission process and tender presentations
- Maintain cost histories and internal databases
- Assist with project handovers to delivery teams
About You
- Proven experience as a Civil Estimator (land development/subdivision experience preferred)
- Strong technical understanding of earthworks, drainage, roads and utilities
- Ability and experience estimating from first principles
- Proficiency with estimating software such as Expert Estimation or similar
- Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines
- A proactive, solutions‑driven mindset
