About the Role
Contract Resources is entering another major year of growth and is seeking experienced and safety-focused MC/HR Drivers with Forklift capability to support a major shutdown project in Lytton, QLD.
This role plays a critical part in supporting shutdown operations, requiring both heavy vehicle driving and forklift operation to ensure the safe and efficient transportation, handling, and movement of equipment, materials, and personnel across site and operational areas. You will be actively involved in both driving and forklift duties, as well as supporting other specialised technicians and teams daily with shutdown activities.
This role offers shutdown hours without FIFO travel, with day and night shift rosters available. Mobilisation is scheduled for July 2026 and will continue through to project completion. To be considered, you must meet the requirements outlined below.
Duties will include but not be limited to
- Operating MC and/or HR vehicles in accordance with site procedures, road laws, and safety requirements
- Operating forklifts to safely load, unload, move, and stage equipment and materials across operational areas
- Transporting equipment, materials, tools, and personnel to support shutdown operations
- Conducting pre-start inspections, vehicle checks, and forklift inspections, reporting maintenance concerns or defects
- Assisting with loading, unloading, and securing equipment and materials
- Supporting shutdown crews with general operational and labouring duties where required
- Maintaining accurate records, permits, and site documentation as required
- Working closely with supervisors, operators, and logistics personnel to meet operational demands and schedules
- Strictly adhering to Work Health & Safety procedures, including participation in JSAs, SWMS, Take 5s, and other safety documentation
- Demonstrating strong communication skills, situational awareness, and commitment to safe work practices in high-risk industrial environments
- Identifying hazards, reporting risks, and contributing to a proactive safety culture
Requirements & Experience Needed
- MC Licence (highly regarded)
- Minimum HR Licence (essential)
- High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (essential)
- Working Safely at Heights Certificate (within 2 years - essential)
- National Police Check (within 12 months of issue - essential)
- Construction White Card (essential)
- Previous experience operating HR/MC vehicles within shutdown, industrial, mining, construction, or heavy industry environments
- Proven experience operating a forklift in industrial or shutdown environments (essential)
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- Strong commitment to safety and following site procedures
- Ability to work long hours in a shutdown environment
- Reliable transport and ability to travel to and from Lytton daily
- Confined Space Entry certificate (desirable)
- Gas Test Atmosphere certificate (desirable)
